The Sixers have a loyal fanbase but admittedly this isn't as much of a pro basketball city as a college/high school/streetball basketball city. They're the only team that doesn't have as large a loyal fanbase as the Eagles and Flyers do. Even the Union have a large fanbase and they didn't exist as a franchise until 2010.
Not kidding at all. You're selling Philly too high. One of the greatest sports cities but you make it seem like it's easily the best.

As far as the Phillies. You can make that argument for them as well as several other teams.
The Eagles have never won a SuperBowl and haven't won a Championship since 1960.

The Sixers have only existed since the 60s and were really only good until the mid-80s.

The Phillies.. well enough said about them really.

The only consistently competitive team has been the Flyers.

This city went almost 30 years without a championship. Almost 30 years.

Because it is.

And anybody who asks who roots for the Eagles clearly doesn't know anything about Philly. The Eagles own not just this city but the entire metro.

Sports teams are supposed to own a metro, great ones own much much more than the metro.

Doesn't have the history other cities have. Highschool football is a different story.

That has what to do with the fact that you questioned who roots for the Eagles?

Why are you telling me this? I know this. I don't see your point in saying this. Also, I know the Eagles haven't won a superbowl and NFL championship since 1960. I make fun of the Eagles and their fans about this every day.

That's because the tickets cost too damn much. At one point, teams would cut ticket prices if they didn't do well, which the Sixers didn't do the past 5 years. The Sixers are the worst example of what a Philly fanbase is because this really isn't a pro-basketball city, probably because the Sixers have only existed since the '60s and haven't been good since the mid-80s, minus this year and last. There were brief periods of winning in between but no sustained winning. They have to compete with a historic college basketball scene, a competitive high school basketball scene, and the best streetball scene outside of NYC. The point is though, that despite all that, the Sixers still have a large, loyal fanbase.

The Eagles have sold out every game for God knows how long. There is a huge waiting line for season tickets.

To show you that Boston has never lost like Philadelphia has.

Don't tell me you're one of those people who judges fanbases on the amount of championships their team has won.
