How can you say that? A minority/majority state.

Don't forget the Germans in San Antonio, that's how you get the acordian sound in tejano music, from the intermingling of Tejano and Germans in South Texas.

Hence, TX can never be compared to NYC.
TX has almost EVERYTHING you just said. The only thing Texas dosent have is MAYBE Albanian. But NOBODY is denying that NYC is more diverse then ANY texas city. We ALL know that, that's a given, but to say Texas isn't TRULY diverse is absurd.

An example of diversity in Upstate cities, here are the demographics of the school districts of the major cites in Upstate(go to page 3 for all of them):

Syracuse: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...1800010000.pdf

Buffalo: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...0600010000.pdf

Rochester: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...1600010000.pdf

Albany: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...0100010000.pdf

Here are some other cities that people sleep on....

Schenectady: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...0600010000.pdf

Troy: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...1700010000.pdf

Utica: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...2300010000.pdf

Binghamton: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...0200010000.pdf

Ithaca: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...0600010000.pdf

Kingston: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...0600010000.pdf

Newburgh: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...1600010000.pdf

Middletown: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...1000010000.pdf

Poughkeepsie: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...1500010000.pdf

Monticello: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...1401060000.pdf

Niagara Falls: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...0800010000.pdf

I could add some other Upstate districts that are relatively "diverse" too. That's not getting into Long Island too. By the way polo, there are quite a few Haitians in districts like Spring Valley, North Rockland and Nyack in Rockland County just north of NYC too.

Ok, if we're comparing a WHOLE state, then what part of upstate NY can compare to Dallas in diversity? No one is DENYING that NYC IS more diveres then ANY Texas city. NYC is HAND DOWN the MOST diverse city in this nation, BUT upstate NY is NOT part of NYC, and dosent have the same diversity of NYC. Like I said NO ONE is DENYING NYC diversit, but t YOU GUYS who deny Texas diversity. NYC>Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin Individually. TX>NY state, or maybe TX=NYstate.

Well I've lived here my whole life and I haven't even scratched the surface of all the places here. I find it hard to believe that someone lived here for a shorter period than me and has experienced every nook to the point that they can make assertions like lamexican.

Remember, it has a world class university and is known for being a city that has attracted refugees too. Actually, I don't think there are many cities that have a legit community presence of the 5 general racial/ethnic groups(White, Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian and Native American) like Syracuse does. Meaning, they are all at least noticable within the city. For instance, Fowler High school, the HS for Syracuse's Westside has a makeup of around 41% Black, 30% White, 23% Hispanic, 5% Asian and 2% Native American.
Pretty impressive. That is true, I forgot about the universities up there. Univesities give a city great diversity.
