This is not even a thread, LA live is a joke compared to Times Square. Change title to Times Square vs Las Vegas Strip and now we have a thread.

Both have something in common - both total crap holes that sunk money into gentrification and made them into cash cows. Neither are desirable but had a good time in both here and there

LOL at LA Live, and even moreso for comparing it to Times Square.

I take Las Vegas Strip over Times Squares. Times Square is 5 block area but Las Vegas Strip is 4 miles long offer long more things to do

Agreed. LV Strip takes above each.

For me next is Ocean Drive South Beach, although smaller in scale to the others.

The Vegas Strip is actually a really fun place though, with lots more to do than Times Square. And it's also much larger. The only things they have in common are bright lights, tourists, and M&M stores.

Times Square is annoying and I try to avoid that place at all costs. The only reasons to go there is to either catch the subway or see a Broadway Show. I don't understand how so many tourists seem to stay in or near Times Sqaure. Not only is it annoying as hell to walk through, but you only really need to see it once. It must be exhausting to stay at a hotel in/near Times Square and I don't understand why so many people do it.

True--maybe just a stretch of Broadway and its adjoining blocks from Union Square to Lincoln Center for comparison in liveliness.

Only thing in Times Square you doing is taking pictures of billboard lights and standing around
