Geico is in Maryland: GEICO - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not to mention Hilton leaving Los Angeles for NOVA which would give LA and Balt/Wash/Nova both 18 according to cpterp's findings

Is Hilton even a Fortune 500 company? I thought Fortune only did public companies.

Yeah, I posted earlier that it was based in Chevy Chase, MD. The thing is that Geico is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, so isn't directly on the F500. If it was, its revenue would put it in the top 200. Hilton is also a subsidiary of another company, The Blackstone Group (which itself isn't on the F500).

The Balt-Wash Area (particularly Montgomery County, MD) is a hub for hospitality firms with Choice Hotels (Silver Spring, MD), Marriott International (Bethesda, MD), Host Hotels (Bethesda, MD), Ritz-Carlton (Chevy Chase, MD), Interstate Hotels (Arlington Co., VA), and Hilton Hotels (Fairfax Co., VA) all based in the DC Area.

Yea the Marriott Int'l, thing threw me off your correct, but i would have thought that Hilton's parent company would at least crack the top 500??

No Hilton is not a Fortune 500 company, because the Fortune 500 ranking is for public companies. Fortune ranks Hilton 36th of PRIVATE companies. Los Angeles and the VA rankings remain what was originally stated.

How much does Philadelphia have if you include southern New Jersey and Delaware which are a part of the metro?

Delaware only has 1 F500, Dupont.

Jersey's only F500's in the Philly Area are Campbell Soups in Camden, and NRJ Energy in Princeton (which is technically also part of the NYC Metro Area). So, +3 I guess.
