Look at the High School Rankings.

Before NYC people get mad, What NYC basketball player has been good in the NBA in the last 15 years? Lance Stephenson? Telfair? Nah.
Where does Baltimore rank, in your opinion?

I kinda forgot about it. My Bad. I would put it around tier 3.

I'm not super familiar with the Baltimore High School or AAU. I generally gravitate to what's going on in D.C. TBH. You could let me know what you think.

I'd be willing to move up SEA to Tier 2 but Michael Porter Jr. is a Transplant. Although, I think they have the 2nd best Pro-Am League on the West Coast.

Edit: I'm gonna replace HOU w/ Dallas. Add Baltimore to tier 3, same with Memphis. PHX is also creeping up. They have DAndre Ayton, & Marvin Bagley III who is from PHX but he plays HS BB in SoCal now.

If you are talking about NYC itself, Kemba and Lance are probably the best bets. Telfair should have gone to Louisville first before going to the NBA.

If you are going by metro area, then you have Kyrie, Karl Anthony Townes, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist(decent), J.R. Smith(when his mind is right) and Ben Gordon(early in his career) are some others that come to mind.

A twist in terms of NY State HS Basketball is that the talent is spread out across the state more than people realize. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCECQTJm8rHPc48To1RpnlMw

NYC metro is still tier 1, no doubt.

That's why I split it up. I think most of the talent is coming from NJ not NYC per se. If you combine NYC/NJ, then I would say they are in Tier 1. If we just take the 5 boroughs, NYC kinda fell off.
