After looking at those pictures I still don't get why Philly is winning. Miami's skylines are exciting and eyepopping. It has more tall buildings and they are arranged just as densely. Most of Philly looks drab and dull. I'm not discounting that it has a lot of historical importance in those buildings but, at least from a distance it's just not that attractive. Baghdad is an incredibly important city in terms of human history and has dense building development but it's ugly.

Miami has a cleaner appearance while Philadelphia seemingly has more density Miami's density is pretty impressive though as it includes The Brickell Financial District,Midtown & Edgewater, Little Havana,Coral Way,Coconut Grove,The Blue Lagoon, and the Health District.
Miami is a much more modern city than Philadelphia, there are no buildings that are even a 100 years old in the Central Business District and probably not even 50 years old in the Brickell Financial District.
Miami's signature building, love the way this building(Bank of America) lights up.
