I used to see him at the Pappadeaux in Arlington alot when I worked there. He seemed like a very nice and cool guy. That's about the extent of my celebrity sightings save a few others.
I saw him in Austin at a concert. That's about it.
Austin doesn't have that many Southern ties in it's white community. When I lived in Austin, I rarely saw any confederate flags on white people, the same way I see white people wear them here in NC and in the rest of the piedmont region.
I didn't see whites walking around with confederate flags in Houston or Dallas either.
