I dont think it lacks height when approaching from 280 or the Bay Bridge. It actually has more tall towers than Seattle...

I agree.

And to the person who replied that it has more "tall buildings" I can say that that doesn't mean anything. What makes a skyline striking is scale, not total height. Boston's Financial District has plenty of height, but there's very little scale which makes it less striking.... it actually has a plateau effect. Other cities have more scale and look prettier (i.e. Charlotte, Pittsburgh, etc) than Boston because of that scale even though they don't have more tall buildings.

Depends on how you define "tall". Seattle has four towers over 200m, SF has three.

And about lacking height, maybe from certain viewpoints it looks smaller but if you've seen it in person you'd know it doesn't lack height.

Yeah, but SF has more above 175 meters. And as someone said, in person it is far more striking than in pictures. From 280 it towers above you...

Heres from across the bay:

This thread is a good one because there is no clear winner!

Both cities are impressive, both have individual qualities that could sway votes. That is what these type of threads are all about. Nice.
