Fort Lauderdale. More diverse, more to do, better weather, better beaches, better people.

Better people Jacksonville can hold it's own against the city of Fort Lauderdale as far as amenities. Still really not a fair comparison, because Fort Lauderdale is part of the Greater Miami metro. That and the culture is the deal breaker for most. It's like comparing Long Beach CA to Sacramento, most would choose LB because it's located within a greater metro area.

Couldn't agree more. People in Ft. lauderdale are so much better than the people from Ft. lauderdale.

I couldn't disagree more with the person who said there is more crime in Jacksonville. Jacksonville, as long as you stay away from the West and Northside, is a very safe area. Meanwhile in Ft. Lauderdale, there is a list a mile long of the places you need to stay away from to be safe.
Also, traffic is Jacksonville is virtually non-existent. I can't even believe someone said the traffic was bad. Have you ever been to South Fla. The traffic starts at 2 and ends at 8 there.

I beg to differ on the last point. I have never encountered such in your face rudeness than in my years of living in Fort Lauderdale. I was never so happy to move out of a city.
