Fyi.
Yes I love the cop-out regional argument. You pretend you have both urbanity and economy, when in reality you've got a tiny city of 800k with 5 buildings over 200m tall and a bunch of sleepy suburbs an hour away where people produce the actual wealth - linking it all is some of the worst congestion in the world. And it's all yours for $5k/mo for a ****ty one bedroom! No wonder so many people want to leave.

And Boston is no better.

I'll stick to Seattle or Atlanta.

Haha no Boston is another area that performs way above it's population size, and far outproduces the Toronto Metro Area.

Of course, that's where you belong.

You're a fool if you think direct comparisons between GDP are relevant. But it's all you've got to peddle I suppose.

Toronto has suburbs with bigger skylines than Boston and Atlanta - despite your numbers. That's the definition of outperform.

Today I learned performance means having suburbs with big skylines LOL

Canadians need to get their heads out of the clouds (or wherever)

Quit dreaming, Toronto out performing the Northeast Corridor or SF? That's like a Bill Burr level of comedic genius.

Toronto is far more impressive than either the cities of San Francisco or Boston despite the on-paper GDP deficit. It's a league above and the gap grows wider every year.

It will take the other two cities 2 to 3 decades to become comparable.

And I live next to Seattle and comparing it to Toronto is like comparing the space needle to the CN Tower.

How you interpret all this is not my concern, nor is it the topic of this thread.

I have to agree with the other guy: where and what in the world are you eating?

I was able to spend just a day in Boston about a month ago, and even after completely stuffing myself, I still felt that I hadn't been able to satisfy all the cravings I've had for the food there since moving to Europe.

Nor do your clear dreams of grandeur take anything away from this simple and undisputable fact:

2016 GDP:
San Francisco Bay CSA $821 Billion
Boston CSA $583 Billion
Ontario GDP $468 Billion*

*I had to lower my previous Ontario figure of $590 billion after I discovered the actual StatCan GDP stat(CAD$633.508 Billion × US $0.74= $468.795 Billion USD)

http://www5.statcan.gc.ca/cansim/a26...ataTable&csid=

Sorry boo.

How did this thread (and so many others) come to be about Toronto when the city wasn't even named in the OP?

It's also undisputed fact that the Lexus RCF has 42 more horsepower than the BMW M4 yet it's slower to 60, slower through the quarter mile, and slower around a track.

All you do is post GDP and income figures, which is akin to only looking at horsepower and ignoring everything else.

And when the dollar was at par in 2012 Ontarios GDP was 600billion USD, yet Ontarios economy has not retracted since.
