I remember Gray Drug. I was in the one at Westgate Mall with a friend of mine and they sold us a cardboard moving box of baseball cards at the end of the baseball season for $5.

The store had just thrown all their unbought packs of cards into a box and the clerk didn't know how much they were nor did he care. He probably put that $5 in his pocket and thought he ripped us off. Little did he know I paid for a year of college with that score.

Wow, what memories!

One I don't think I saw mentioned…

The little blond-headed Spizter boy-child excitedly proclaiming, at what seemed to be EVERY commercial break, that “my dad wants to sell you a car TODAY!”

I can’t be the only one that forever had that particular commercial scorched into their cerebral cortex during their youth.

The jingle was created by Wyse Advertising in Cleveland. They also created "With a name like Smuckers, it's got to be good" and many other classics. I left there in 1993 (cutbacks) and I understand new ownership runs it .

Apparently, it was taken in September, 2005.

nice chef, I heard there is a possibility they are going to re-open the observation deck to the public after they are done with the exterior renovation.
