Any thoughts? We're looking at both and we really like Kure, but there is a neighborhood we really like in Carolina Beach and we were wondering if you all had any thoughts that would help us decide.
Thanks!

In what respect? Day Trip? Beach? Weekly rentals? Housing for purchase?

Do you want to live there or vacation? Buy a house for investment? What do you like about Kure? What do you like about the neighborhood in Carolina Beach? Do you have children?

I have a place in CB. Compare houses and neighborhoods etc and that will be your biggest difference. On the beach or not? That will make a difference other wise you can go to which ever beach you want.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. We're looking for a place to retire in a few years - maybe move in the next year or so. We both want to live near the beach, but we want room for our kids to visit.

Thanks!

I think it would depend on what neighborhood in CB you were talking about. I lived there for a few years and go back several times a year. Are you talking about the north end perhaps?

I recommend you go visit each area and some neighborhoods around 6-7pm and feel them out. are there too many tourists or types of people or any behaviors of folks walking around that bother you ? Really learn the area and you may find that you strongly lean towards one or the other. Do not spend any $$$ until you do this as there are differences in the communities. This is the advice I give to all my clients for those niche markets.

We own a house in Kure Beach. It is very quiet and family oriented. Carolina Beach has more activities and shopping. Nice to stay in Kure for quiet beach and drive or bike up to Carolina Beach for dinner/shopping etc.

@Le Roi, funny I agree KB>CB in most cases. Never seen it communicated that way before.
