Thank you so much to everyone for the infomation. We are so excited to move to the area. My husband is there and we'll be there once the house is sold.
Thank you so much for the information. I do want to live in town more where we can bike everywhere. My husband loves Harkers Island. I have to sell our house and get up there quick so that I have a say in the matter! I would love to bike everywhere again.
Thanks for all the specific info. I'm going to check on that little house most definitely!
Have you contemplated Emerald Isle? They have just put in miles and miles of bike paths. If you are needing any help in looking at this area, just let be of assistance.
Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it. Is there one town that you consider better for kids than the others? Also can you please tell me if there is anything resembling a hill anywhere in the area or is it all pretty flat? Believe me, after more than 10 years in Florida, just about anything will qualify as a hill for us.
Thanks for the info and have a great day,
SadieAnn
There is a reason that they call themselves "Flat-landers"
You want hills, you have to go quite a ways west.
PS-My niece lives in Beaufort and seems to like it. She has three school age children. It is my favorite town down there.
I spent a week in a small town called Davis about 30 minutes out from Beaufort. Now that is a real fishing village.
The accent is so think, that I couldn't understand 80% of what was said to me.
Good luck
