Because we have a condo in Kitty Hawk, we don't want to live at the beach but wanted something closer. We are rethinking the entire Greenville thing and now are looking at Cary, Apex. As my daughter pointed out at least it has an airport. I really didn't think too much about that and it's a big issue for my children. Thank you for your response
There is an airport in Greenville, but it is regional only. Pretty much all longer-distance flights require a transfer in Charlotte.
Add about 1.5 hours to your commute to the Outer Banks if you live in the Raleigh area vs. Greenville. Cary/Apex are more upscale than Greenville but will be more expensive real estate-wise (which may not be a worry to you).
