Morehead City has really been expanding over the years and is about 1.75 hrs from Wilmington. The drive may be a bit longer now because you can't cut thru Camp Lejeune anymore. I am also a LMT and I saw a few ads for wellness centers in Morehead in the local Natural Awakenings magazine. Carteret County has a bit slower pace than Wilmington and seems to be keeping up with growth and tourism. Winters make it a bit dead however, so make hay while the sun shines. If you get bored, you can always head to Wilmywood for excitement.
