I really like Langsdorf coming to Nebraska as the OC. He did some great things with Eli Manning this season and with QB being a weakness at NU for a number of years, it seems that this may be just what we need. Waiting to see how the rest of this staff shapes up.
Thank you, #71 not. The U would have won anyway, but what an idiot.

What a comeback that would have been.
Did he think he'd get away with that or was he just giving up? He's gonna do some runnin next week.

Aside from the way the game ended, I was impressed with the way that Nebraska's offense moved the ball consistently throughout the game against Michigan State's defense. Armstrong is still not an elite passer, but looked much better and more in rhythm this game. It was also good to watch Imani Cross have the best game of his career. I wonder if the coaches have moved on from Newby at this point, as he only got a few carries. I had attributed the difficulties in the run game more to the offensive line not making blocks and opening holes for Newby, but there were plenty of them this game, and Cross found them (but why wasn't he the one in there trying to punch it in for the 2nd to last touchdown? Role reversal at a curious time.).
The defense was frustrating though. They started off really well, getting stops, then fell into the 3rd and long failure pattern that has taken hold the last few years. My neck is getting sore from shaking my head at giving up 3rd & 8/10/11 conversions after good stops on 1st and 2nd down. I think Michigan State was 5 for 7 on 3rd and 8+ conversions.
4th quarter vs iowa, qb runs out of bounds, clock continues to tick, orielly looking at his shoes... wtf? Same drive, first down, clock continues to tick, oRielly still checking the ground. Dude was not even in the game/paying attention/want victory.. Side note: NU's worst team in 50+ years, Iowas best team ever, narrowly escapes. Regent pearlman needs to go, eichorst and rilley too imo.
