I would have studied carpentry and said the hell with college.

Looking back is great but give yourself a pat on the back for just "doing it". Be proud of your accomplishments no matter what anyone else thinks would be "better for you".

Kitty I graduated college last year with a master's degree in education and can't find work. I am so broke I can't pay back my student loan. I sub for a number of school districts but receive low pay and no benefits. I was full of pride the day I graduated with honors but that pride soon becomes lost when you have more bills than money.

This is what many people do not understand!! Thing is an increasing amout of college graduates who are going what you are going through, but people keep saying be proud of what you accomplished. But it is messed up when you accomplished it and you do not reap the financial rewards that come with it.

What makes it even worse is colleges keep going up on their tuition like crazy and dramatically cut back their services. IMHO I hope more young people think that college is not the only way to go and maybe put more time into which college they attend and which major they choose!!

I wish I could've studied environmental science, but unfortunately, when I was in college, it wasn't offered anywhere.

I will soon have a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, which is quite useful and versatile. I'm interested in the concepts of computing/coding, but I think if I could do it all over I'd probably go straight into the Physician Assistant program or I would have done International Business with east-Asian studies as a study focus.
