It depends on if you have what the employer wants. My husbands employer paid to move us out here from NJ.

To the original poster - I regret everyday moving here from the coast. I miss the water terribly. If you are in love with surfing and water think hard about the move. There's only pools to swim in here. Sure, there's some lakes and creeks up in the mountains, but the water (and usually weather) is too cold to really enjoy it. Or you can drive an hour to Pueblo to the small man made "lake" to swim. Which BTW costs a fortune.

If you just love the outdoors and can live without the water, you'll be fine. It's beautiful, the weather is always nice and winters and snow are no biggie. The city has lots of different elevations which changes weather drastically just by driving 2 minutes up the road (literally) but I've had no problems getting around and they don't stop life here when it snows at all...

Something else I'll say and I'm not looking to be attacked but I am also from the east coast and people are different everywhere -Just an FYI, people here are very nice, BUT, also seem to be in lala land most of the time. I wouldn't say 'all about me' but...just be careful driving.
