Pueblo finally got a couple of inches of snow last night. Had this storm been about 5 degrees colder Pueblo could of got 5-10 inches of snow as all day it went from rain to rain mixed with snow. It was not really till late last night night the rain completely changed to snow. As I predicted the suburbs of Beulah and Rye and Colorado City received a lot of snow.

I hope this is not the last snow storm of the season........

Default Pueblo hail storm

A surprise hail storm hit Pueblo last night bringing a lot of hail. We could hear it coming miles away as the hail was hitting the ground so hard. It sounded like a freight train coming. Kind of eerie to be honest. Now the Chieftain is reporting it will be over 100 tomorrow. That's why I love Colorado lol.

This is the radar image of the storm coming into town.

This was taken last night right after the storm.

This was taking after the storm.

This was taken this morning in downtown Pueblo. Looks like we had a snow storm last night.

I tried to make a video of the storm. It kind of ends abruptly as the hail was hitting me lol

Talking Hot in P town

Summer might not officially be here but it feels like it in Pueblo. Yesterday it was over 100 and today at the airport its 104 and downtown is usually a few degrees warmer so my guess is its close to 108 here. Then Pueblo will be above 100 a lot in the next week at least. If its this hot now I might get my official 110 degree plus day this summer!

Plus last weekend Pueblo had a inch of rain on the south side so talk about wild weather.

This is from my I phone:

In honor of this hot summer I thought I would post this great song from the 1960's.

Another heat wave is expected to hit Pueblo and I am so ready for 100 degree plus weather. As I always post this is the forecast highs at the NWS office near the airport east of town and its usually a few degrees warmer in downtown. For example today its 84 there and in downtown I am showing 90. My theory is the difference is due to the urban heat island effect that impacts downtown and surrounding neighborhoods.

This is from my I phone:

So add about 5 degrees for downtown making it 107 to 109.

Talking Record heat in Pueblo

It is hot hot hot hot hot!

This is from my I phone and is taken at the NWS at the airport:

Plus in town it was 108 and let me tell you it feels like its 108.

In Pueblo the high so far today has reached 106, that beats the old record of 100 set way back in 1892.

The forecast high today in Pueblo is 108. I predict the unofficial high to be over 110 in downtown and if that happens would be about the hottest I have ever seen it! This is the kind of heat I like to see in Pueblo and I hope it's even hotter in July and August!

Nature is going to do what it's going to do.

I'm sitting here watching this Waldo Fire press conference and hoping for quite the opposite.

Nature is going to do what it's going to do so I figure I might as well enjoy it rather it's a blizzard in December or a heat wave in June.

As far as today Pueblo hit a record high of 106 and Unofficially the high was 109 in downtown so I did not get my 110 plus degree day. At least yet as the summer is just starting. Hopefully later.

As of 6 pm it's still 105 in downtown. Crazy hot for Pueblo!
