Since this is the Colorado coronavirus thread, I thought that I would also share that in my Littleton area, both Safeways I visited were EXTREMELY low on fresh meat and most fresh produce, and they were completely out of eggs this morning, and the person I spoke with said they had no idea when they would be getting more eggs. (And, "of course", there was no T.P., either.) What was interesting to me, however, is that the "junk food" aisles looked as full as usual! Maybe people are eating healthier in an attempt to stave off illness -- or maybe they are just shopping smarter in case there are any severe and long-lasting food shortages? (Our local King Soopers did have plenty of eggs and produce, but they were out of some deli types of meat.)

What food shortages are you who live in other areas of Colorado experiencing, if any?

This one is my favorite. It’s from an epidemiologist at Johns Hopkins who has been tracking the outbreak from the beginning.

FYI: I just banned a Russian troll who wanted to post how the American people have been brainwashed by the media and then they go out and vote their ignorance. They recognize how susceptible we are to jump on any conspiracy theory and four-wall it far and wide on social media and bogus website and facebook accounts of which they have thousands doing just that. Take that for what it's worth.
Thank you!

Exactly; this is way bigger than Pharma. I am actually sort of 'known' on an international level in the antivaccine crowd & even I cannot talk these guys down right now.

I am still amazed at others who are upset that schools are closed. Upset? I was calling the schools last week to ask them why they hadn't closed YET, lol.

Your Safeway was open? Ha! LOL! A small strip mall of a Safeway, ACE, Med Shoppe, ENT, etc, was 'DARK'
at 11 am today, Sunday... huh? Colorado Springs.
People seem to forget about Dollar Tree for bleach, surgical gloves, wipes, ammonia - even TP at a fair price and cheap paper towels.

Good info from the front, katharsis.

Polis closed the resorts because it has relatively few medical facilities/hospitals in the area... so he wants to avoid ski-related accident care/hospitalizations (broken wrists, ski injuries etc.) clogging up hospitals/clinics which may be needed to deal with CV.

So it's not because skiing is inherintly dangerous as far as CV-19 is concerned. It's because he wants every available bed to be empty and every available care taker ready to treat CV-19 instead of other illnesses.

This is a smart and proactive move.

Also, the hot spots for infection seemed to move from the Denver airport to the mountain ski areas. I think the ski areas were closed to stop attracting tourists flying from other hot spots to vacation here.

I live near Telluride and they closed down along with all the others. There's going to be testing via National Guard help, per a health department bulletin from San Miguel County.

This one is my favorite for US: https://coronavirus.1point3acres.com...tbfcR3n-gegabA

675 new cases today (so far reported), 28 in Colorado. East coast states are typically first to report on any given day.

Since this is a Colorado thread, I feel compelled to share my opinion that a cold, hot, humid or dry climate is somehow advantageous for slowing down this virus appears to be "magical" thinking at this time.

Thanks, this answer makes more sense, assuming the numbers regarding ski injuries taxing the health care system are in fact accurate.

Eta no corona cases in San Miguel County, Telluirde, so don’t see why they would close there.

The media is out of control with their hype and lies.

They say airports are empty. This morning, I left Ft Lauderdale and returned to DIA. Both were as crowded as usual.
