Why don't you tell me what objective data supports the idea that Columbus is capable of attracting that business and retail you claim?
But the median income has increased substantially, higher than Augusta. Those companies pay what the market demands. If they were in any other 2nd tier city it would be the same. If they were somewhere like ATL they would pay more due to competition. Don't you understand that?

Yes, Columbus is a second tier city in Georgia and probably 3rd or 4th tier in a lot of other states. You are trying to pass it off as second tier like Orlando is second tier to Miami or Pittsburgh is second tier to Philadelphia. Who cares what the median income is compared to Augusta? Retailers and businesses only care if you have their target demographic and/or gave a proven history that you can support them. Columbus does not despite your enthusiasm.

The median income doesn't matter all that much. When it comes to income, businesses are looking for an amount over a certain income. Augusta has a much larger population in general and it has a much larger upper income base. The more people you have the more attractive you are to a company.

What? How is Augusta population much larger than Columbus? And why doesn't the median income matter that much? Is it because Augusta inner city is poorer than Columbus? That's why it does't matter, huh?

Are you jealous of Augusta or something? You also seem kinda paranoid. You seem to think that everyone, even the people that live here, are going against Columbus...

Exactly. All of a sudden the median income doesn't matter when it's proven Columbus has a much higher median income.
