Housing Authority buys another property.

I remain skeptical of their ability to properly develop, in a timely manner. Especially in a historic area that really requires careful architectural choices.

Local tech CEO Alexander Clark has purchased the historic Union League building on Chapel Street from Yale for $4.3 million. Nice.

Gorgeous building. He also bought the restaurant and Zinc and its also impressive building. He's donated a lot too. Seems like a very good benefactor for city.

Wustof moving from Norwalk to Milford.

I'm disappointed, though. Milford should've made the FCP deal work. FCP would've been more than double the jobs, is homegrown (profits stay here, vs Germany), likely have a better mix of jobs from white collar to distribution, and they're still rapidly growing towards a billion in revenue. It's a homegrown success story, shame on Milford and the zoning board for not making it work. They will find another town/city now.

Correct. I just hope FCP stays in Ct. Once you announce you are leaving a town, the big incentive offers come in..from all over the nation.

Milford botched the deal with FCP. It deserves to lose them.

Agreed. Shame. Doesn’t instill much confidence in the new mayor.
