It’s looking like the City and State have reached an agreement on the future of a Union State. The State owns the historic station and leases it to the city. A new lease 35 year lease with two 10 year extensions call for expanding retail space in the building, adding 600 parking spaces in one or two garages and various improvements throughout the campus. Should be great for the city and state. Jay

Speaking of transportation, more on the City’s plans for Tweed New Haven Airport. It’s looking good but let’s hope local opposition doesn’t stop or slow it. Jay

Finally, Wooster & Olive, the new 299 unit apartment complex in Wooster Square is pre leasing for occupancy beginning in November. The project began construction in 2019 so it’s been a long time coming. The location is great being near downtown, Metro North’s State Street Station and the iconic restaurants of Wooster Street. Hopefully it will rent quickly. Jay

Avelo Airlines has announced nonstop service to four cities in Florida beginning in November. Airfares are as low as $59. That’s incredible. Jay

Sucks to see AA leave.

Awesome for Avelo, I think I'm going to try their service for a Florida trip in January. Flights are very cheap even adding up the fees for baggage.

This is awesome. I’m usually not an ultra low cost carrier guy, but that’s incredibly convenient and is exactly what central CT needs: access to an airport.

Wow, nonstop to NH from RSW! I'm surprised that they're flying 737's. I was in CT last week. Lot's of changes in NH. The area of Ashmun Street / Lock Street / Canal Street was a huge improvement. Those buildings that replicate the Yale campus stonework were really nice, on the map it calls it Benjamin Franklin College. I never heard of that in the grouping of Yale colleges. What is the focus of this new school?

It's unbelievable. I flew out of BDL last week for the first time and what a gem of a facility. To say I was surprised was an understatement. Blown away. Replicating that in NH at Tweed would be a tremendous asset and addition to an already booming region. It's sorely needed and long overdue.

It is a new residential campus. I believe no classrooms but I could be wrong. It cost almost a billion to build in the old style and included the largest private donation to a university ever.

I believe they’re extending the runway for the larger planes. Hope they add more routes.
