The state of California is now giving out $350 million/year in incentives to stop this. On top of that, no joke, they declared filming a TV commercial an "essential service" during the COVID lockdowns to prevent further defections.

New Haven has a lot of potential, but really needs to capitalize on the Avelo announcement. Connecting and landing at BDL, then driving 60 miles is not going to work. And my last trip I made the mistake of landing at JFK and spending hours on the Van Wyck and I-95. Few places match the combination of close but inconvenient like New Haven and hope the new flights address this.

You beat me to it. I just found that California was now giving film incentives and had been very lenient with tv and film production during the pandemic. Speaks volumes to why they would only use limited data for their ranking. Jay

That's awesome. I love the atmosphere of breweries with outdoor seating areas on the water in the summer.

So the Tweed New Haven Airport Authority has approved the agreement to bring Avelo Airlines to New Haven. The airline will make $1.2 million in improvements to the airport. Great news. Jay
