Not set in stone but we'll have to see if this trend continues.

New NAM long range has all rain for CT. Center of Low is right over the sound.

Always fascinating. With interior states track just means nothing or snow. With us track means rain or snow. lol

100 miles East of where NAM has it and we get all snow
50 miles east of where Euro has it then all of CT is in the 10"+ range

When will it start? Is it going to be Sunday into Monday? Or all day Sunday? What about Saturday. My kid has ski lessons. Another foot of snow would be awesome! Might get back out on the snowboard a couple of more times this season.

Exacts wont be known until tomorrow night. Lets say Saturday afternoon through Sunday.

Latest GFS has a slop fest. snow to rain to snow for northern CT. That means umbrellas needed for the southern half.

Here's accuweather graphic.. I've seen these situations before and Im worried we'll be caught off guard.

Thanks! I heard rain on Sat so I'm hoping for snow instead. That would be perfect.

Default Wind

Where is this wind coming from? Every few minutes we're getting some strong gusts! Nothing on my weather app about wind tonight.

High pressure pressing against a Low over the maritimes.

The High is building in from Canada which will play a role for the weekend in providing cold air to the surface. Going to be nice and dry tomorrow.

Upton mentions warning snows possible for interior sections. Which means northern fairfield, New haven, middlesex and new london.

DEPENDING ON EXACT TRACK OF LOW PRESSURE AND TIMING OF TRANSITION...A LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW/SLEET/FZRA MIX IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE INTERIOR...WITH EVEN POTENTIAL FOR A SIGNIFICANT (WARNING LEVEL) HEAVY WET SNOWFALL ACROSS FAR NW ZONES
