I know some might be tired of hearing about it but when something this impressive comes around it's just special especially for weather geeks like us...because its rare.

30° is the lowest Max for NYC today since 1871. If they don't pass 28° it will be in the Top 10 coldest max temp for the entire month of November since 1871!

I'll see if I can get some CT detailed stats.

OKX seems to not be big on posting record low highs, but during the cold shot earlier this month they noted that for that date it was 39 set sometime in the early 1970s and it was indeed tied that day.

NWS in current forecast does seem to think everyone in the tri-state area gets snow mixed in at some point, but as of right now they are not saying accumulations for anyway.

Didn't realize that Central Park's record low tomorrow morning is only 19 since the days before and after it have mid-teen record lows from the 1800s. Since it's already down to 23 there this morning and tomorrow morning is supposed to be colder, I think they have a good shot at their first record low (be it tie or break) since January of 2004! Any of the stations who started out after 1938 (i.e. Bridgeport, I say this because most of tomorrow's daily lows, including CPK, were in 1938 in the wake of a rare Thanksgiving snowstorm) should almost certianly break their record lows.

All wind chills this morning in the single digits, this cold shot is impressive indeed!

23 degrees here. Sun has been out for awhile now. I have only warmed a degree or 2 since my overnight low. Windchill has to be single digits out there. Sustained Northwest wind at 15-20. It is cold out there!

Was going to go to the Stamford balloon parade as we have been every year for over a decade, but just too cold and windy to wait out there. But the fact that there's a 50-50 chance it will be too windy for the balloons to fly helped influence our decision too.

Reminds me why my Fig Trees come back without covering them. They are next to the house blocking these winds on them.
