Will Malloy turn to Obama to save GE? - Connecticut Post
What is Obama going to do? Malloy's like a big baby who cries to his daddy when he doesn't get his way. GE's gonna laugh when Obama calls them to say, "hey, yea Malloy told me to tell you to stay". I hope they do leave so GE can teach these wackos a lesson.

It indicates w/o outside influence, Malloy expects to lose the battle for this hq.

Keep in mind that this is purely speculation on the part of the articles. There is no proof that Malloy did this or is planning to do it. The article just notes the connection and a possible route that could be taken in this negotiation and decision process. We will see if it is true or not. I think it would be a pretty ballsy move if Malloy did it though. Jay

Pretty much partisan whining here.

If a Republican Governor consulted a Republican president you'd all be falling all over yourselves praising him.

No, that person shouldn't even be in any type of office regardless if they are a D or R. If you can't do your job then maybe Malloy should pick up on knitting.

I think this has been talked about before, but what a dead brain idea. Hartford council is looking into the legality of charging companies (with 75 people or more) a $10/m/employee charge. Are they out of their minds?! It's Hartford people. not Boston, NYC, Chicago even Orlando.

..AND if this isn't legal they are looking at other ways to tax companies. Proposal For Commuter Fee Awaits Legal Opinion While Hartford Explores Other Ways To Raise Money - Hartford Courant

This does two things for businesses. One is that when companies want to expand they will NOT be doing so in Hartford and two it shows that Hartford views businesses as cash cows. How about these idiot councilwomen make the people who don't wok in Hartford figure out a way to pay for their services instead of penalizing people who do work. Again, CT is catering to lazy idiots and pushing all the productive people away. Connecticut soon will be welfare folks and State workers.
