There is no way to get directly into the mall. There are no exits or entrances directly from outside and the one elevator that services the mall is down a long narrow corridor. Not very inviting.

The mall itself is kind of narrow and the doors from the stores open directly out into the path of people walking up and down the mall. They have seating areas a several spots along the mall which act as choke points for pedestrian traffic. Finally the architecture is nothing interesting or inviting, just very plain and stark. It is not inviting at all or conducive to shopping. I know I won't go back. At least Clinton Crossing is attractive. Jay
I went the first weekend they opened..I think I even wrote about it on here, but it was TERRIBLE. We will not go back. I agree on every point you mentioned. Very lackluster, especially seeing that it is attached to the casino which has beautiful finishes.

No impressed at all. I like Westbrook better.

I am glad you agree. I thought I was missing something. We walked around trying to find an alternative entrance or elevator but could not find one. It seems to me that you are trapped once in there. Not pleasant at all or conducive to getting people that gamble to shop or vise versa. We just could not figure it out so it is unlikely we will ever go back. Jay

I thought it was nice. I think you can enter outside. Not 100% sure walked in via the Casino when we went. Only odd thing was Johnny Rocket's on the bottom floor not the third floor in the food area. Definitely seems they are adding more store's. However, seemed a good mix of stores some high end retailer's, some big name stores, and some filler stores. Really like how it appeals to outdoors people. Be great if they can get a EMS or REI or LL Bean outlet in there.

Checked the map doesn't seem to be an entrance outside of Foxwoods bit of a bummer. Maybe down the road they can add an entrance.

Why isn't it? CTfastrak has more riders than projected. Channel 3 had a similar feature on the news tonight. Said the same thing. They interviewed a local restaurant owner who said business is up. I doubt they would say it if it was not true. Jay

I wonder how many business owners they had to ask before they finally got the one who said what they wanted to hear…. media does that stuff, you know…

And… a desperate politician saying "we've seen lots more visitors" is not really a scientific study of the "Success" of the busway...

No.
Expanding ALL the way down to New London seems like a waste of money to me. CT Fastrak should expand to UCONN and that's it. If it isn't already accessing Bradley International Airport then add that to the list as well.
