I have traveled it too, many times. It is about 25 miles from Fairfield to Danbury and it is all on backroads. You get behind a slow driver or a school bus making stops along the way and it will be close to an hour. I suppose sometime is cut down if you were going from northern Greenfield Hill in Fairfield to the southern tip of Danbury you can cut it back to 45 minutes but that is not likely to be the case for the OP. They really should consider is to be an hours commute. Jay

It can definitely be frustrating to get behind slow drivers. I commuted from Bethel to Norwalk/Westport for 4 years.
