Nice. As usual these storms seem to fizzle out. East of New Haven we have been so DRY! I just want rain here.... So sick of watering the plants.

Norwalk Church got hit. I assume more things with the amount of C2G lightning that was around. Sick.

1:15pm. And there we go again. BDL in CT hits 90°F. #15 of the year. NYC only 7. Hartford only 4. Boston at 91°F now. #8 for them.

Temps in 80s, Dewpoints in 70s = HOT. My God out there. Gees.

Here's Current Heat Index with Bostons OBS.

I always have a dilemma whether to take this tree down for more garden sun. Then days like this remind me why I don't make that decision.

My project for the day includes following the shade
It's 8 for NYC now because unlike yesterday, they hit 90 today (91 to be exact).

I wonder if the low of 75 in BDR on 9/2 was a record for all of September (warmest low). I found a Central Park weather blog that says the low of 77 on that date was their 2nd lowest all-time "high Sept. low" as a low of 78 occurred in NYC in 1983, 1985, and 2010. I was able to get the Sept. 2010 day data for BDR (and that 78 low that year also occurred on the 2nd), and low that day was 74 at BDR, so it could be a record......can't find 1983 or 1985 data though.

If you haven't gotten hit by a storm today consider yourself lucky. I'm seeing many folks saying they are going into the basement because it's intense. From NJ to MA including myself here.

I don't know why but apparently the atmosphere is pissed summer is over now.

Stay safe. More coming later. Another one in Danbury now. Crazy. 4 friggin hours hearing thunder on and off and 1.5 straight hours of intense stuff.

It hasn't been too bad in New Fairfield yet, thankfully. A lot of rumblings, but only a few drops. Is this supposed to continue through the night?
