Busy 7amEST map this morning.

  • Precip entering PA/Maryland
  • I-70 accidents in WV from Ice.
  • Snow all over Michigan.
  • Snow accumulations in northern Texas.
  • Thunderstorms in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas
  • Fog in Florida
  • High Pressure in New England providing arctic air for snow to fall before changeover.
  • Notice the 60s in Florida already this morning...Warm air about to rise north
It's mid 20s here right now and its going to rain in 10 hrs from now.
Since digits in Vermont and rain tonight.

I cant believe it's looking like winter in the SouthWest than it is here past 4 days. Look up Lubbock Texas temps past few days, you'll be amazed

Lubbock experiences winter every year. Snow is less frequent in that arid climate, but cold temps are common.

Whats this stuff falling? Oh yeah... snow. So that's what it looks like.

Crucial 850mb freezing line still around Philly/Atlantic City. Snowing in NYC and suburbs. Until that freezing line moves north of us, we should stay all snow. Looks to me couple hrs.

Anyone on I-84 right now in Danbury is getting some steady snow with some reduced visibility.

Even down here in southern Westchester County it has startrd snowing. Sticking to grass, barely to cars, not to the road at all. A friend of mine who lives in the Inwood section of northernmost Manhattan took a picture and said its even snowing there....but I know it will be warm and rainy evemtually.

By 7pm everyone is. Thinking by 4pm there. So could have 1-3" on ground before switch to sleet.

850mb temp freezing line update. Now in Central NJ. Warm air creeping up. Once that goes above freezing over you, forget snow. It will be mixing with sleet, then finally changing to rain. If surface is below freezing it will be freezing rain

So looks like another couple hrs depending how fast it moves in
