Looks like this is going to be a dud. Funny though, the closer we got to today, the more wrong the weather reports got.

Couple hours before the heavy stuff moves in. 8-12 inches already fell in parts of NJ, MD, DE

NWS NY.

"620am: Hvy snow approaching the Tri-State. Snow rates up to 2-3"/hr possible! Very very hazardous driving conditions!"

I think they were premature in cancelling schools along the coast. This is pretty much just going to be rain.

CT is about to get crushed. Heavy band coming across Long Island now.

We are going to have a few hours of heavy snow along the coast. 2-3 hr rates are coming across Long Island right now. Could easily drop a large amount of snow in just a few hours.

What the radar is showing coming across Long Island is beyond impressive. There is a possibility of thunder snow. Look outside in about a hour.

You're nuts... I'm on the coast of CT and it's very poor out right now. It's also only going to get worse. Lots of teachers and students come from outside of town and points north. They did the right thing and I hope they do it again next time!

Winds will pick up if they haven't already from the NE. It will feel like a NorEaster for sure. I'm gusting to 25mph. Islip to 30mph. Wildwood NJ to 45mph
