This is how much you need to earn to join your state's top 1 percent - Vox

Disgusting.

CT ranks as the #1 highest state in which it takes to become a 1 percenter, annual income wise. In order to become considered a 1-pecenter in CT, your household must make at least $678K. The highest of any state in America. The article also shows another map that shows that CT is also the #1 highest income inequality state in the nation now. Scroll even further down, and there is a very good video explaining how wealth inequality is DANGEROUS for America, and that it is epitomized in CT.

I look forward to leaving FFC in four months and this is yet another reason to leave. #1 highest income inequality in the nation. #1 highest entry point to join the 1-percenters.

Please share your experiences on how these statistics impact your life in CT and what you plan to do about it.

I really don't care about what others make. I worry about myself and my family.

Why do you think it's disgusting? If you don't like it, find a 9-5 job in New Mexico that offers your mandatory six weeks of vacation.

They don't. Maybe high taxes because of our considerable cost of living combined with a formidable welfare class.

As long as the 1% keep buying things in our state and contributing to our income tax (37% comes from Greenwich), this is the least of our worries.

Doesn't bother me at all-I can take care of myself and my friends and family and that's all that matters to me. In fact, I just booked trips to Miami and Vegas, along with having budgeted out considerable savings through next year (when I will re-budget.)

Oh, and I need to go move my next massage appointment.

<rolls eyes>

It's all about working hard AND playing hard, especially out our age.
