Can you imagine this thing was closer or on land doing that? For now looks like it's just the coast that has to worry with erosion and waves and surge.

But still.. watch out for the Tropical downpour rain Bands spinning into us

The icons are up...and it's not just for 1 day.

Winds "start" picking up Satursday afternoon... don't really have a "worst" time because it could be Sunday morning then again Monday or something.

Don't be surprised if wind gusts up to 60mph Sunday & Monday but occasionally.

THIS ISNT AN IRENE OR SANDY. But could be worse for coastal areas in DE, NJ due to the duration of the constant off shore winds and cyclone.

CT might get some erosion in spots as well

Euro12z says evacuations would be necessary for coastal NJ.

Here is the "SUSTAINED" winds for Sunday PM per Euro. Notice the CT coast 20-30mph and higher on the sound. Maybe I'm downplaying the fact that it could be raining as well which will weigh trees and leaves down..so some trees and power outages could happen but notice most of CT.. 15-25mph winds. Nothing we cant handle!

Poor trees. Either in a Drought or in a Tropical Storm.

5pm Update... I see 1 difference in their track and strength... Hooks left a bit AS A CAT 1 HURRICANE which means its strengthening as it comes up. Nuts its slowing down and making that left then making a right again without making landfall...I think. Gees.

AND NOTICE.... 2PM MONDAY WHERE IT IS.... 2PM TUESDAY....2PM WEDNESDAY... CRAZY!

DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK
------------------------------
At 500 PM EDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Hermine was
located by NOAA Doppler radar and surface observations inland
over southern South Carolina near latitude 33.0 North, longitude
80.5 West. Hermine is moving toward the northeast near 20 mph (31
km/h) and this motion is expected to continue through Sunday with a
gradual decrease in forward speed during that time. On the
forecast track, the center of Hermine will move across coastal
South Carolina this evening, move across coastal North Carolina
tonight and Saturday morning, and move offshore of the North
Carolina coast by Saturday afternoon.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is expected tonight and early Saturday
while the center of Hermine remains over land. Strengthening is
forecast after the center moves offshore, and Hermine could be near
hurricane intensity by late Sunday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 185 miles (295 km),
mainly to the south and east of the center.

A station at Folly Island, South Carolina, recently reported a
sustained wind of 44 mph (70 km/h) and a gust of 59 mph (94 km/h).
Buoy 41029, located just northeast of Charleston Harbor, recently
reported a sustained wind of 40 mph (65 km/h) and a wind gust of 58
mph (94 km/h).

The estimated minimum central pressure based on surface observations
is 993 mb (29.33 inches).
