Left is current snowfall total for the season... Right is entire last season..

Source:

Hartford is half way there already.

Burlington is half way there. (NWS really needs more official stations in VT, come on)

Albany looks like the closest.

Actually Binghamton, NY & Williamsport, PA has more this year then entire last season.

I still got 3.5" snowpack being eaten by the fog fast. We'll see how much survives after the rain and 50s later.

Snowpack is over 6" in areas of Litchfield County.

Let me grab some storm totals.

December 17, 2016 Snowstorm totals for CT only. Nice to see many reports. Looks like a 4-6" snowfall event with some local 6-8" spots.

Binghamton, NY with 54" already? that's insane! Equally insane is Albany, NY with only 17" all of last winter. I lived there for a couple of years and that's really hard to believe...

2pmEST...

Its Georgia's turn for the crazy temp gradient as the front is inching closer to East coast.

Definitely Impressive cold behind this front. Sunny & 20s & 30s in TX & Louisiana?

How about these wind chills? Sunny while it feels like 25° below 0F in Duluth?
Cloudy & feels like sub zero Plains & Mid West

I also lived in the area and know that they barely touched the snow shovels last year. When I was visiting late last winter it was truly unbelievable. The general consensus was that they were going to pay for it this winter!

I couldn't agree more! And it looks like spots on Long Island got in the 40s? Weird.
