Any word on the storm Sunday? Reports are no longer saying freezing rain. However, looks like snow for 4 to 6 hours. Then transition to rain till early Monday morning. Heard another storm possibly for Wednesday, but too far out. Still worried about the commute into work on Sunday.

Did this start as slushy sleet? The bottom layer is heavy...oof. Looks like about 15" in Middletown.

I was pondering about the bottom layer too. Wasn't rain or sleet but I came to 2 conclusions.

1. Warm temps yesterday kept ground warm so its melting the bottom layer since the snow is also insulating the ground.

2. It started, and actually stayed, around 9:1 ratios (here at least) which is kinda on the heavy wet side.

Doing my core melting. 9.5" but the wind made it uniform to measure.
