Now, I don't think it can be eliminated - there is just too much revenue associated with it to do so. But a reduction in the income tax coupled with an increase in the sales tax could be done.

I guess the people who wrote that article didn't realize when one millionaire leaves Fairfield County one or two more move in from NYC. This dance has been going on for decades. We are always bouncing around in the top 5 states for millionaires and usually come out in the top 3.

Metropolitan areas with the most millionaires per capita 2018.

1. Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk, Conn.

So here is what I would do. Still keep the same tax structure but perhaps CT needs to learn to live on 90% of the revenue and put 10% in a raining day fund WITH A LOCK BOX for periods when our millionaire population drops a little.

Boughton is spot on. This is the reason the CT Republicans keep handing me the very wealthy is they have millions of dollars and keep winning the primaries. It is not that they are the better candidate. Their millions can buy the primary. The people the Republicans keep giving me to vote for Governor for are the people I would never vote for.

The irony is out of the five candidates I would seriously have considered voting for in the general were Boughton, Herbst and Obsitnik. The two guys I didn't like are the Wall Street guys and that is exactly who I am getting in the general.

That is why I am going with Ned Lamont.

(I am an Independent Centrist)

Be kind of awesome to see a Primary and Governor race with no public funding and voter choice rules

The only Centrist on the ballot, also an Independent, is Oz and Monte.

Did he say he wants to do away with the state income tax and put the tax burden on the poor and working classes in CT?

Don't bother with that argument. Independents are far to intelligent for that.

The greatest Democratic/socialist president in history worked on Wall Street too. His name was Franklin D Roosevelt. That is why he was such a great DEMOCRATIC president. He understood all the shenanigans that was happening on Wall Street. He in inherited great wealth too.

I have no problem with Ned Lamont inheriting money and working on Wall Street as he wants to HELP the common middle class and poor man. I do have problems with Republicans that inherit great wealth and work on Wall Street as they want to SCREW the common middle class and poor man.

You see, there is a vast difference in Lamont and Stefanowski.

I could be wrong but feel the four choices go as such:
Do away with taxes
Increase taxes on all
Try to make fair taxes
Do away with Government programs

I agree with everything Boughton made note of in the article. All middle class Americans should.
