Cool link, I'll have to explore more. I think only since 1950 they listed but seperated by county. Litchfield county seen more probably due to population increase and ease of reporting.

97 Tornadoes in CT since 1950. More people. More structures. Easy to report and share pics now. NWS goes to site after its reported.

Now just think about 1 thing.... those areas that never got hit all these yrs gets hit finally...imagine the thoughts. "I cant believe it, we never got hit, this never happened here, We must save the globe!" Lol. Do they think every square inch of land has experienced one?

No pics as my daughter had my phone to keep her occupied. Lights flickered but thankfully we did not lose power here, not so fortunate around the corner where trees and lines were down at every turn. Even 91S had a tree across 2 lanes. I actually saw the bolt of lightening that cause the tree to fall. Crazy stuff.
Glad you and your family are ok. I was at Yale-New Haven Hospital when tornado hit Hamden/New Haven in ?1989. Scary even in a big hospital building.

It will be interesting to see if Danbury is still closed tomorrow (I assume it is due to power outages so it depends on if the power is back, but if it is due to downed trees on roads I imagine they get cleared today). They have so many snow days that they are already going to June 28, so I assume they will now be going until Friday, June 29. I believe state law doesn't let them go into July.....

So this Bermuda High/SouthEast Ridge just parks there past week and for next 10 days. It's rotating and rotating and moisture is simply coming up the West side of this core. This is why we are getting all these rainy/cloudy days this week.

This morning is the 5th overcast morning in a row. Hate it.

Future Radar Loop. Each frame is 6hrs from today to next week. After this weekend the flow changes from the West more, not the south.

May started off perfect for the garden, now it's turning into a crap fest. Ugh!

Very warm morning this morning in the low 60s. That I don't mind...but WTF is the sun!

Looks like I was way off. And as penance, I got stuck on Metro North last night when they shut the whole system down around 5:15. No issues getting home once I got off the train though. Never again will I doubt the weather cognoscenti.
