Soooo....sleeping in before my night shift. Phone is about to explode alert after alert to the point where it's a gigantic triangle and can't avoid it. People are screaming I can hear. So open the patio door to check out the commotion.

Well not sure if we did or close to it. Sky's were yellow, air pressure dropped, extreme temperature drop, and wind wooshed through bending tree's like toothpicks.

Then 10 minutes later still raining and 20 mins later grey skies. Temp is rising a little not much wind and rain is slowing down.

Had no hail lots of wind...not like spread out wind if that makes sense. Like wind in a tunnel moving in one path while everything around it was being pushed back if that makes any sense.

Pea sized hail between New Britain Stadium and Berlin McDonald's for 5 or 6 minutes around 5:15 pm. The Bees were supposed to play baseball at 6:35. Nope!

Was an interesting ride home.

Got back to some damage.. My station only caught a peak gust of 57mph.

Potatoes are down as well as 2 heavy branches. Might of gotten hail, no idea.

Watch the temps drop from 80s/90s to 60s as the storms roll through. Look at all those damage reports too.

2-6pm loop

Just spent past 40 min in the rain with a chainsaw cleaning up. Im drenched but I wanted to get the branches off my Arborviteas. Yard is a mess now. Tree lost some limbs. My Arbs & fence has damaged.

Ok.... Im ready for winter!!! Screw these damaging storms!!

My daughter had an away softball game just west of Greenwich in Purchase. I thought it was crazy they didn't cancel, game started at 4:30pm and in the 2nd inning it gets dark and suddenly a super whoosh of wind and the dust is blowing like crazy. Since it didn't rain yet nor thunder ump and other team wanted to continue as far as they could but the team did smart as did we and left immediately (it poured with lightning 5 minutes later).
