CT doesn’t, you’re right - but FL does not even come close.

Cons: -Hot and humidity from Late May-Early October
-Almost daily thunderstorms from June- Early October it rain 5 minutes to 45 minutes every other day only once for day
-Most of state is flat if you use to mountains and hills
-A lot of bugs everywhere some even bigger than CT bugs
-There snakes, spiders, scorpions, lizards etc, Some areas feel very touristy but not everywhere
-Population is growing too fast putting strain on infrastructure and traffic 1,000 or more move every week to Florida
-You don't get four seasons of weather. It just gets less hot and humid in the Fall/Winter it feel 80-82
-Drivers are more crazier than CT
-Jobs are questionable I think CT area has better job market for some fields and higher pay.
-Hurricanes path every few years or so
-Public schools are questionable but not everywhere

Florida is not for everyone it would good for visiting or gateway from CT for little while to get back on your feet. The state is full of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut residents. North Carolina also even Colorado seeing CT residents.
Not all new homes are cheap in Florida and those home insurance are high in FL as well. The cost of living in central FL is still pretty high when you make very low wages. I find that I never do things in Orlando because they are too expensive! I hardly ever hear my co-workers going to universal studio.

Don’t forget the high crimes and crazy people that are here in Florida.

Different strokes. I’ll take 4 months of winter over 8 months of miserable humidity.

Nah, dirt cheap there just like Shelton, Trumbull, Monroe and all those other bottom feeder places.
They're practically giving houses away there's so many on the market.
Price per sq ft is higher there though.

"Dirt cheap"? "Giving homes away"? Last time I looked (which was pretty recent) these towns and eastern Fairfield were selling homes just fine and at decent prices. They have less expensive homes because of location but that does not make them "bottom feeders". Some people would even think those towns are pricey as well. Jay
