I feel like there have been more 60 degree days in March than April this year. Looking at the 10 day forecast it seems like we might miss out on another proper 60 degree day for the rest of the month after tomorrow.

Yup. Nobody in Hartford area ever witnessed that much snow falling after April 16th. Just another one in the books

Remember Last Year? Looks like I'll have to continue the collage. I cant catch up. Want to do one since 2013.

Looking at next 14 days per GFS dont expect a warming trend with 60s. 50s yes but not in mornings or evenings.
Cold blasts yes.
Rain yes.
Clouds yes.

Euro says -10°C (14F) airmass over us Wednesday morning is coming. Record cold 850mb temp for the day is -7C. Normal is +5C. So it's well below normal across the region as this is showing.

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service New York NY
518 AM EDT Mon Apr 20 2020

A vigorous negatively tilted upper trough will drop into the
Northeast on Tuesday. Showers ad possibly a tstm should become
fairly widespread from west to east from late morning into
early afternoon as a warm front passes through, followed quickly
by a strong cold front mid to late afternoon.

The front should sweep east by early Tue evening, with brisk
NW winds and CAA dropping temps into the 30s in the NYC metro
area, and along the immediate coast, and into the upper 20s
inland. A wind advy may eventually be needed for parts of the
area (mainly metro/coastal areas) Tue night, also freeze
watches/warnings for inland sections. Cool/brisk conds expected
for Wed with temps rising only to the upper 40s to mid 50s.

Jet stream dips south of us again.

After that the Polar Vortex shifts and the Jet stream lifts north so we warm back up.
