Nice. So lucky!!

Covered with clouds all morning with drizzle at times and temps struggling out of 40s here..

60s in Southern NJ and upper 50s in Eastern CT, RI, and MA. Enjoy the sun if you have it

And again

Airmass aloft anomaly...

I started the loop when the warmth this weekend leaves and ended it when the cold leaves.

So Sunday May 3rd to Tuesday May 12.

in May I assume no more 40s for max but obviously 50s would be cold. Around May 9th looks deep. Frost chances continue

Everyone in CT in the clouds now. 0 hrs of sun for me today. Nothing new

Loop past 8 hrs

4:20pm still shot with temps. Warmer in Montreal than CT. They had sun before.

Overcast in NW Hartford County since about 1:00. No rain though. And warm. My kids took off their sweatshirts when we went on our after lunch hike.

Pretty nice morning/early afternoon in Hartford. Then it got gray and depressing again. And gray and rainy next two days. Kill me. Time to win Powerball and move to California.

Ummmm

Today makes 15 days in a row having the Daily Avg temp below normal for Bridgeport, CT. (Same for Hartford). Todays max temp of 51° was 11 below normal.

The last time we had this long stretch was in 2015, January 26 to March 3, 37 days in a row.

Dec 26, 2017 - January 8, 2018 came close with 14 in a row... but not as long as we are having...

So its been 5yrs+ since having this anomalous stretch.. "The Polar Vortex Month" #ArcticApril

I remember winter 2015 well. My youngest was born in the beginning of April and there was still snowpack on the ground. When she came out of the hospital two weeks later, there wasn't any snowpack but there were still large patches of snow covering the yard. I remember we turned on the heat in June because the house was so chilly!

That stretch from 2017 into 2018 is what winter should be. Incredibly cold temperatures, and even though it wasn't the longest cold stretch, it made up for it in magnitude. And a bomb nor'easter in the middle, I believe that storm even broke into the 940s for mb!
