Summer in Hartford for June 1 - July 27 period was tied for warmest on record with 1994.
The last 2 days pushed us to this point.

For Bridgeport its warmest since 2010.

Extended Winters
Short Springs
Long Hot Summers
Short Autumns

Rinse, Wash, Repeat

Can't wait for March.

Interesting stat of the day:
June 1 - July 27 period:

Hartford:
Avg High: 86.2° (2nd warmest)
Avg Low: 61.9° (16th warmest)

Bridgeport:
Avg High: 82.3° (9th warmest)
Avg Low: 66.6° (2nd warmest)

So in Hartford it's the max temp that is reason for the warm averages while for Bridgeport it's the nighttime lows. I know waters have something to do with that for sure. And speaking of.... Waters off the coast must be heating up!! Think Fall NorEasters?

Clocks on CT Route 372 in Cromwell both read 87 a few minutes to midnight last night. I hope they were wrong!

They were probably off by only a couple of degrees. I live walking distance from 372, and it was still 90 at my house at 8:00 last night. I went running at sunrise this morning, and it was 78.

Many districts still lack a/c in schools, especially the "poorer" ones. Bridgeport in particular is notorious for having June and September early dismissal days when it's this hot then and on rare occasions a closure.

Today sucks. In the shade it's alright but full sun is awful
