Lately, I’ve seen a lot more houses “back on the market”. It makes me wonder if it’s a result of an inspection or financing not going through.

Interesting article about back-up offers.

I haven’t seen that in the markets I watch (Glastonbury, Fairfield, Marlborough, Hebron, Andover or Bolton). Where are you seeing this happen? Jay

Median home prices in my town have risen 10.6 percent year-over-year to $2.1M. All indications signal a continuation.

I am looking at coastal towns plus Essex. I’ve seen back on the market homes in Branford, Guilford, Madison, Clinton, Essex, Old Lyme and Stonington. I’ve noticed this trend about 2-3 weeks ago.

Periodically seeing contracts fall through in the Litchfield County towns I follow too. Based on the properties/price points, I suspect it’s mostly driven by financing problems. Mostly happening in the sub 400 market.

Lets stick to the topic of the OP which is the current real estate market. If you wish to discuss other topics such as Connecticut’s storm resiliency, please start a new thread. JayCT, Moderator
