It could be anywhere I assume. One of the issues with people working from home far outside of traditional commuting radius of an office is the cost of lodging when one must be in the office occasionally. How are people handling this? Assuming they are merely middle or upper middle class employees? Even a few times a month, adds up ...

What the hell does this have to do with CT? Raytheon is located in the Boston area.

They have 18,000 Connecticut employees. This is likely going to impact all their businesses, not just hq.

Just another example of capitalism favoring profits over workers. I don't see how this move is going to improve the lives of workers and people at all.

It will improve the lives of tons of workers who own shares via 401ks, or direct purchases. You now own a house, you get to choose how to furnish it, you get the equity when you sell it. Shareholders own the house, also, with corps being the house, so they can elect leaders at the corps they own based on voting share count who make decisions suited to maximize their shareholder value.

Half of American workers do not have a 401k or such investments. They can't even afford to contribute to or make those investments, in many cases. Therefore, workers are screwed.

85% of the stock market is owned by 1% of the population. Disgusting.

Not spending X hours a week sitting in traffic improves quality of life. Not having to pay for morning or afternoon care for elementary school age kids improves quality of life. Being able to work at home while waiting for the infamous "sometime between 9 and 3" cable installer improves quality of life. Not rushing to pick kids up at daycare because they charge $1/minute if you are late improves quality of life.

The Pratt and Whitney campus in East Hartford is vaguely telling white collar employees there will be a hybrid return to campus in the fall that will include desk sharing, though nothing is yet set in stone.
