RAIN RAIN RAIN

That blue snow you see on radar could just be for higher elevations (above 3000') Its below freezing at 4000' in New England-Upstate NY.

Look at the green dots, those are the airport stations reporting rain

I guess you didn't read my posts on this. Nighttime temperatures have gone up everywhere, it just went up a lot more in those 3 places I mentioned so clearly for them a good part of it is expanded UHI. Of course unvegitated deserts will be much colder at night than large cities in their midst, but they're still warmer than they once were. Death Valley is a good example, whose daytime highs have gone up as well.

Enjoying today with pokes of sun but looking off the west it looks like winter. Snow squall warnings

Snowing in West Virginia mountains too. I doubt we'll see any flakes in CT

I couldn’t get any pictures, but there was modest flooding along the Connecticut River in Middletown today. The park and benches had water over the top of them.

Looks like the wet pattern is now over, however. The upcoming week looks to feature a period of dry and mild weather for early Spring. High pressure will be across the southern Appalachians Monday evening and this high will gradually move offshore of the Middle Atlantic by Wednesday. Combine this with the high aloft over the East Coast - and Connecticut/Tri-State area should see pretty nice weather this week, with sunshine and mild temps.

By Thur we might even see mid 60’s F in some spots across inland southern Connecticut:

It looks like no real change in the short/mid term...so I guess in effect (unless something drastic happens), winter 2023/2024 is essentially over. CPC has above normal temps for Connecticut/Tri-State area right up until the end of astronomical winter:

NWS Bridgeport now stands at 8.3 F above normal for March...while NWS Bradley is 10.2 F above normal.
