I'm not a huge UCONN fanatic either, but I do support the teams. The women had an unbelievable season!

I do wish the Whalers were still around though....

Yeah I'm 17 and I really only got into the NHL around 2002 so I missed the Whalers. I've been a Rangers fan as long as I can remember.

I'm not a Uconn FAN. I dont hate them but I wouldnt say I support them or anything. North Carolina is my team and have been for quite some time.

What if, for some reason, the Rangers moved to Hartford? Hypothetical. Would you still support them? Just curious. I want to see where you're coming from.

growing up in NL county, i'm one of those 'tweeners' - NY fan in football (Giants of course) and even though i'm not a big baseball fan, Boston fan in baseball (i probably hate the Yankees more than i love the RS but if i root for anybody it's the RS).

Good question...

I dont know.

Depends. Hartfords not too far down the road...the Islanders and Devils are evil.

But that will never happen!

I think you're trying to get me to day "I hate Connecticut so much I'm never rooting for anything here".

Thats not why I dont like Uconn and am a Rangers fan. I just hate Duke so much and I hate Duke fans so much so that made me a UNC fan and the Rangers are the closest team to me (50 minutes).

I don't think there are many Boston Bruins fans in Connecticut.

Once the Whalers left, a vast majority of the fans kind of gave up on hockey. Look at how the Wolfpack do attendance wise (they are a Rangers farm team).

I will never ever root for the Bruins. I can't wait for the day Hartford gets another NHL team, it will happen eventually. The state of Connecticut owns the naming rights to the Whalers, more than likely any new NHL team in Hartford would be the Whale once again.

I'm in the New Haven area and I am all about the Yankees and Giants

Who cares what the MA/RI/VT/NH/ME think.....those states don't even consider CT part of New England anyway (I have heard many, many different residents of these states say this) so why would I even want to cheer for the Patriots and Red Sox?
