I do, and my grandfather did, as did his grandfather, and from what I can gather his grandfather. In fact, many of my mates do, not just hardened Yankees but also some transplants. I think you may live in a bubble of transplants, a commuter town likely. Boston is not the end all be all of New England; and while you may strongly associate with New York (which is fine by me), not everyone here does in the least. Oddly enough though I root for the Phillies and hold out hope for the Whalers.

~Cheers

As a New Englander please describe your favorite moment as a Red Sox fan in the past 3 years.

Phillies are fine because we live closer to Philadelphia than Scumville (AKA Boston).

When people think New England they think Boston. I do too. I'm not a New Englander. Boston sucks.

Outsiders might. But not all New Englanders do. I have friends in Manchester Center, Vermont. Their largest nearby city is Albany, New York! Boston doesn't appear on the radar.
