I'm moving down to Corpus for school sometime around August and am looking for apartments. I can afford around 600 a month in rent. I don't mind having to make a short drive to school, but I'd prefer something less than 20 minutes away. This most important thing for me is it being bug free. I know I shouldn't expect too much for 600 a month, but I'm kind of a big baby when it comes to bugs. I'm flying down there in early may to look at some apartments before i make my final decision. I've already decided to look at The Summit and The Veranda apartments. Any other suggestions?

I don't know much about rents, but it will be easy to find something within 20 mins of the TAMUCC. In fact, it would be hard to find much of an apartment farther away than that.

I was going to mention that Marlow, but it kind of goes without saying in South Texas, bugs are just something we live with down here.

That's extreme--sounds like a neighbors being filthy problem more than just a hot humid climate problem.
No matter what you do, you'll see them from time to time. But apartment management can avoid an infestation like that with regular spraying.
