I don't know who this Barkley azzhole is, nor do I care for his opinion.

I do however, hope and prey he falls victim to fatness, perhaps uncontrolled diabetes or medication-related bloating for his cancer which he is BOUND to get, being so nasty and judgemental.

Then we can all call him up and say "you're so fat, gee you're disgusting, why don't you do something about it you pig".

Honestly people who equate weight with quality are beyond stupid.

I do believe Barkley also said he uses racial slurs in the company of friends and that white America shouldn't try and tell him how to live.

Fat/obese/overweight is not a protected class and not subject to the same legal standing as race/age/disability/sex as mentioned in this thread. That doesn't mean it's OK to say things, but it's up to the employer to determine any punishment of a non-protected class.

Should he be fired? Now we have Shaq insulting disabled people and Barkley insulting overweight people. I believe it's Kenny's turn now.

I could lose weight. But somehow I think he's a joke and would ignore him. Bigger fish to fry in life. He's nothing compared to the really bad ones.

No he shouldn't be fired. The guy is funny. We should not accept fatness, it's unhealthy. Why don't we just go back to accepting cigarette smoking then, if we should accept fatness.

Oh please.

What do YOU do that is less than "healthy"?

Drink alcohol? Eat too much salt? What about smoking weed or eating processed food or breathing in asbestos from that hole in the roof you haven't fixed? Walking on the road, ingesting lead like there's no tomorrow?

It's just another way to judge and shame.

How would you like it if I come along and said "you know, red hair has been proven to be unhealthy. You have red hair, and so it's MY BUSINESS if you dye it or not".

Ridiculous.

Agreed. Fat people really need to get a clue as to what they are doing to their bodies. Same with smokers.

sounds like you're trying to justify your obesity, my friend.

and "smoking weed"? you could've used a better example than that. and eating processed food is pretty much part of what causes obesity in the first place.

funny comment about the red hair. you must be a ginger without a soul.

i've heard that being left-handed can also shorten your life span.

point is, obesity related diseases are putting a strain on this nation's healthcare system. people wonder why healthcare costs have skyrocketed? this is a contributing factor. so the shaming is adequately justified. whenever i look at a morbidly obese person, i think "higher healthcare costs for everyone else". the worst part about all of this is that it is preventable 90% of the time.

Then Mr. Barkley shouldn't have gotten his panties in a bunch about Mr. Sterling then, right??
